“Even as companies struggled to emerge from the recession during 2010, PeopleCube continued to exceed expectations, due in large part to our continued dedication to product development and our commitment to customer satisfaction,” said John T. Anderson, president and CEO of PeopleCube. “Industry-leading firms turned to us to fulfill their workplace management needs because we offer innovative products and services that provide substantial and near-immediate ROI. As a result, we gained more new enterprise customers in 2010 than at any point in our company’s history.”

Highlighting PeopleCube’s success in 2010, the company continued its trend of sustained growth with a revenue increase of 22 percent. Adding more than 160 enterprise accounts, many of which are Fortune 500 organizations, PeopleCube also grew its subscription service by 120 percent.

“PeopleCube has been at the forefront of delivering on-demand software solutions, and now that software-as-a-service has matured, more enterprise companies worldwide chose our subscription-based solutions to help them gain the greatest return possible in the shortest period of time,” said Anderson.

Customers Come First

Another driving factor behind PeopleCube’s sustained growth is its unrelenting dedication to customer satisfaction. In 2010, PeopleCube’s exceptional worldwide customer support and services resulted in a customer retention rate of 96 percent, which exceeds the Aberdeen Group’s Best-In-Class designation for customer satisfaction.

“Our extraordinary customer retention rate is a testament to our continued efforts to serve as a partner to our customers—to provide only the best service and support to them each and every day,” said Anderson. “We take great pride in satisfying our customers’ needs and offering products and services that help them attain new levels of effectiveness and efficiency on time and on budget.”

Adding Value Through Technology Advancements, Integration, and Leadership

PeopleCube led the workplace management market in 2010 with ongoing product innovation and integration. Throughout the year, the company’s groundbreaking PeopleCounter occupancy detection solution provided customers with the much-needed actual space utilization information they need to understand how their real estate is being utilized. Using PeopleCounter in conjunction with the workplace business intelligence tool, Workplace BI, customers are able to better monitor, measure, and analyze space-utilization trending information so they can make educated, cost-saving real estate management decisions.

During 2010, PeopleCube launched two new versions of its flagship product, Resource Scheduler, incorporating into it, among numerous other enhancements, a more user-friendly interface and event-management capabilities. The year also brought innovative product integration with Lotus Notes and Microsoft Outlook to further extend the value of these popular calendaring applications. Additionally, partnerships with market leaders Crestron, AMX, Manhattan, Steelcase, and Johnson Controls delivered critical room scheduling, resource management, and energy management capabilities to these complementary workspace management systems.

“PeopleCube continues to leverage its innovative ‘User-Centered Design’ methodology, which relies on direct customer input to develop and deliver innovative solutions that address—and exceed—the expectations of our customers,” said Anderson. “As a customer-centric company, we have a responsibility to deliver the ROI our customers have come to expect with each and every product release.”

A Positive Future Lies Ahead

Addressing plans for the coming year, Anderson said, “As excited as we are about what we achieved in 2010, our focus is now on 2011 and beyond, and we feel energized about the things to come. Our plans for upcoming new releases of Resource Scheduler, Workplace BI, and PeopleCounter make us confident that we will continue to lead the workspace management market through innovative product development and by providing best-in-class service and support that is second to none.”

Aberdeen Report Shows Energy and Carbon Management Are Critical Components of Sustainability Programs

In a recent Aberdeen Report on carbon and energy management the group states that both carbon management and energy management are crucial parts of any organization’s efforts to achieve sustainability.

120 executives responded to a survey on investments in carbon management and energy management, 72% of the respondents stated that investments in carbon and energy management would remain the same or increase from the previous year.

When attempting to manage an organization’s carbon footprint and energy efficiency it’s important to have a full workspace management solution in place. Resource scheduling software can be integrated into a full workspace management solution that would allow you to reduce your carbon footprint and and energy usage through understanding your actual utilization of rooms and other resources.

3 Ways To Improve Workspace Management and Cut Costs

The past year and a half has been extremely hard on many organizations. With the loss of revenue that has occurred, almost universally, companies have had to make tough decisions concerning their employees.

Now that it seems like the worst of the economic downfall may be behind us companies are looking ahead, and putting plans in place that can cut costs, save money, and prevent the same unfortunate loss in revenue and jobs from occurring again.

According to Wealth Briefing, occupancy statistics show that it costs roughly, £15,000 or $21,500 to have one person working in an office for a year.

Think about how many employees your organization has and how much it is costing to maintain their workspace. You may be sitting in shock right now wondering how to handle such a large expense. The answer is to cut those costs by practicing efficient workspace management.

Here are 3 ways to improve your workspace management and cut costs:

1. Implement an Alternative Workspace Solution- With all of the technology available to us today many employees can telecommute. Not everyone has to work from the office.

2. Understand Your Actual Space Utilization- With many workers going mobile, many desks in the office are left empty, but real estate costs are still incurred. Through people counters and other room management systems you can better understand your actual space utilization.

3. Become More Efficient With Resource Scheduling- Utilize resource management software to schedule your resources more efficiently.

PeopleCube’s Q1 Growth Led by Increase in Alternative Workspace Management and Space Utilization Business

Major Customer Wins, New Product Releases, and Continued Growth in Subscription Service Contribute to Successful Start to 2010 for Provider of Workspace Management Technology

FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts—April 27, 2010—PeopleCube, provider of intelligent workplace, resource, and energy management technology, today announced that it has recently concluded a highly successful business quarter in which it realized significant growth led by the adoption of its alternative workspace and space utilization solutions by several Fortune 500 firms. The company also launched a significant release of its flagship workspace management product, Resource Scheduler, during the quarter and maintained steady growth of its subscription service.

“Given today’s uncertain economic climate, we take special pride in the early success we’ve achieved in 2010,” said John T. Anderson, president and CEO of PeopleCube. “Over the years our customers have increasingly relied on us to provide the services and solutions that help them control costs and maximize productivity. The consistent adoption of our workplace management technology, particularly alternative workspace and real estate management during Q1, is further testament to the solid ROI our solutions provide.”

Sustained Growth Through Enterprise Expansion and Customer Retention

During Q1, PeopleCube signed a number of new enterprise accounts, including several Fortune 500 firms. Some of these customers turned to PeopleCube’s solutions for help in managing their alternative workspace initiatives, while others are implementing PeopleCounter, the industry’s first occupancy detection technology, to measure and monitor actual versus planned space utilization.

Many of the new customers—several of which are subscription service sites—selected PeopleCube’s solutions to replace competing products. Notably, even as PeopleCube increased its market share at its competitors’ expense, the company continued to maintain a customer retention rate of more than 97 percent.

Pushing the Boundaries of Workplace Management through Technological Innovation

During the first quarter of 2010, PeopleCube delivered the most comprehensive release in the history of its flagship workplace management solution, Resource Scheduler. The release featured a number of enhancements, bringing to the market such offerings as Lotus Notes integration, a new mobile interface, tools for visitor and event management, and simplified booking and reservation capabilities using interactive floor plans.

PeopleCube also continued to showcase PeopleCounter, a real estate management solution that provides companies with the ability to track actual versus planned space utilization by automatically capturing the number of people entering and exiting a scheduled space. This ability gives valuable insight into how space is actually being used. It enables organizations to analyze vital real estate occupancy and utilization trends to better manage current and future real estate costs.

“It is our goal to be consistently at the forefront of integrated workplace management technology,” said Anderson. “Most of our product enhancements follow our unique ‘User-Centered Design’ approach, which relies on the direct customer feedback that we receive through our innovative Online Customer Care Center. By listening intently to the needs of our customers and prospects, we are able to deliver the type of solutions and services that address the growing demands of their ever-evolving, complex work environment.”
