What is Planned Space Utilization?

In an effort to understand how and when rooms and resources are being used some organizations will reference the schedule of these rooms and resources. Unfortunately all too often rooms and resources are scheduled and left un-used. In some cases where these rooms and resources are integrated with scheduling software energy can even be wasted when employees are no shows to their bookings.

Planned space utilization is just that, a measure and understanding of when rooms and resources are scheduled to be used, but not the actual utilization of a room or resource.
