Environmental Policy
PeopleCube’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship is driven by an initiative that focuses on five simple tenets:
|

|
G – Generate environmental awareness R – Recycle as much as possible E – Eliminate unnecessary waste E – Energy conservation N – Now is the time |
The debate has changed. Climate change is here. We can make a difference in the outcome – if we start NOW. In total, PeopleCube calculates that it has saved 185 tons of greenhouse gas emissions over the last twelve months by emphasizing efficient space utilization which results in lower electricity and heating requirements as well as a reduction in automobile travel for employee commutes. We pledge to continually look for new and innovative ways to reduce our carbon footprint as we move forward.

Amazing Statistics around the Solution
- For every ton of paper that is recycled, the following is saved: 7,000 gallons of water; 380 gallons of oil; and enough electricity to power an average house for six months.
- Activating “sleep” settings on just one computer can prevent about 300 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
- 8 out of 10 plastic water bottles used in the United States become garbage or end up in a landfill.
- Making all of the bottles for the US requires more than 1.5 million barrels of oil annually. That's enough to fuel 100,000 cars.
- You can run a TV for six hours on the amount of electricity that is saved by recycling one aluminum can.
- By recycling just one glass bottle, you save enough electricity to power a 100-watt bulb for four hours.
- A one-day worldwide break from commercial air travel would save approximately 90 million pounds – 41,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
- Telecommuters save about $120 million in gas costs and prevent the emission of 1.76 billion pounds of carbon dioxide every single day.
- Every gallon of gas one uses emits 22 pounds of CO2 emissions. If a car gets 25 miles per gallon, for example, and one reduces one’s annual driving from 12,000 to 10,000 miles, one will save 1800 pounds of CO2.
