How Can Map and Kiosk Integration Help Me?

• Find Available Space
  Integrating and using floorplan maps with Resource Scheduler is easy and intuitive, and requires little or no training. In fact, in as little three clicks, a user can easily find and reserve the available office hoteling workspace they need.
  
  
• Locate Other Employees & Reserve Nearby Space 
  Because mobile workers often want to collaborate with others when they are onsite, providing the ability to find others who are working onsite and reserving a nearby space can be extremely valuable. Using Resource Scheduler, you can find individuals, see when they are onsite, and find space nearby according to the floorplan.
  
  
• Keep Private Reservations Private
  While finding others to collaborate can be very useful, many occasions call for the ability to hide reservation details from others. When individuals create “Private” reservations, details are obscured from view on the floorplan map and others can only see that the space is not available.

  Using the kiosk, individuals can walk up and check-in to a previously created office hoteling reservation with as little as one touch of the screen, and the time that the individual checked into the space is automatically recorded. How Does It Work?

Use any Kiosk Hardware
Integrating Resource Scheduler with floorplan maps or kiosks is hardware independent, and can be run on any device or machine with network access, a web browser, and a minimum of 800 x 600 resolution.

Works with Resource Scheduler Install
The map and kiosk functionality is fully integrated into Resource Scheduler and, like the Outlook and web client interfaces, it’s simply another view into the Resource Scheduler application. In fact, while each kiosk can be easily customized to have its own rules, basic configuration information is tied to the Resource Scheduler administrator, leaving individual kiosk interfaces simple and straightforward.

You Control Changes to Floorplan Maps
Map and kiosk integration uses floor plan images in JPG format. Although PeopleCube Professional Services will help you get started with initial integration with the images, you can control changes to the maps, ensuring that ongoing costs are low, and administrators can make map changes quickly.
