Map and Kiosk Integration with Resource Scheduler
Along with the fully-integrated Outlook and web browser interface,
Resource Scheduler
has an intuitive kiosk
interface that can help power your
office hoteling
initiative. This exciting feature combines floor plan information with space availability on a computer or kiosk device to allow you to:
-
Check-in to existing workspace reservations
-
Find nearby space or people
-
See where other reservations and activities are taking place during the day.
Using a touch screen interface, you can reserve shared workspace more efficiently. As a result, you will realize a better return on the investment you've made in your office hoteling environment.
Kiosk and Map Integration Benefits
Find Available Space
In as little three clicks, a user can easily find and reserve the available flexible workspace they need to maintain productivity while in the office
Locate Other Employees & Reserve Nearby Space
Find individuals, see where they are onsite, and find space nearby according to the floor plan to encourage collaboration
Automatic Card Reader Check In
Quickly and easily check into your reservation by simply swiping your security badge by the kiosk badge scanner device
Keep Private Reservations Private
When individuals create “Private” reservations, details are obscured from view on the floor plan map and others can only see that the space is not available, helping to protect privacy
Get Actual Workspace Utilization with Check In
When individuals use the kiosk to check in to a previously-scheduled reservation, that data is automatically recorded by the system. Administrators can then use this data to track resource utilization and make adjustments to minimize unnecessary real estate costs
View Upcoming Activities
Use the kiosk to view the names and locations of events and meetings that are taking place in conference rooms and other shared workspace
View Space Details
Details about each space can be listed to make it easier than ever to find what you need, including snapshots of the space, a listing of amenities included, phone numbers for assistance, and even maps displaying where often utilized spaces are located, such as fax machines, printers, meeting rooms, eating facilities, administrators, etc.

How It Works
Use any Kiosk Hardware
Integrating Resource Scheduler with floor plan maps or kiosks is hardware independent, and can be run on any device or machine with network access, a web browser, and a minimum of 800 x 600 resolution.
Configurable Reservation Rules
Administrators can configure the kiosk rules either individually or through Resource Scheduler, making it simple and straight forward to create or adjust reservation restrictions.
You Control Changes to Floor Plan Maps
Floorplan map and kiosk functionality uses floor plan images in JPG format. PeopleCube Professional Services will help you get started with initial implementation of the images and you can control the changes anytime after, ensuring that ongoing costs are low and changes happen quickly.
