Whether you install Resource Scheduler on-premise or take advantage of our hosted on-demand solution, you can avoid problems associated with deploying an application to multiple client PCs running Windows, Mac and UNIX. Resource Scheduler applications are 100% browser based, and can be easily and securely accessed by anyone you authorize – even your remote staff. Just point your browser and go.

Resource Scheduler On-Premise Requirements

Resource Scheduler’s flexible setup means that you can configure your installation to meet your organization’s unique performance and usage requirements. Listed below are suggested system requirements for basic installations. Please contact PeopleCube sales for additional information on how to configure your system to meet your needs.

Resource Scheduler can be hosted on Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Servers running Internet Information Server (IIS) Version 5.0 (and greater). The application comes with a royalty free, SQL Server compatible database. Organizations expecting large numbers of concurrent users may wish to utilize SQL Server for more robust performance.

Server Requirements (for On-Premise Deployments Only)
 

Operating System/ Application Server	Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with IIS 5 OR Windows 2003 Server with IIS 6 OS drive and application drive running the NTFS File System Optional outbound Internet access for advanced features/functionality Optional SMTP-compatible mail server for Email integration and notifications 256 MB RAM for the operating system and services, plus an additional 32 MB RAM for each 10 concurrent users 550 MHz processor or faster 150 MB of available disk space (application only - see data requirements below)
Database Server	Microsoft Windows 2000 Server OR Windows 2003 Server 50 MB of available disk space, plus an additional 10 MB per 50 resources Note: Resource Scheduler comes with a royalty-free database (MDSE) that is compatible with MS SQL Server.  The database can also be installed on SQL Server 2000 (Service Pack 3 or higher) or SQL Server 2005.  The application database can be stored locally on the Web server or on a separate SQL server machine.
Client Browser Requirements	Microsoft IE 6 SP2, 7 or FireFox 1.5 (Other browsers may work but have not been fully tested) JavaScript enabled Cookies enabled Recommended resolution: 1024 x 768 or higher JRE 5 (or Microsoft Java Runtime environment)
Additional Requirements for Resource Scheduler for Outlook/Exchange	In addition to the requirements listed for Resource Scheduler, the Resource Scheduler for Outlook/Exchange (RSOE) application has the following requirements: Admin: Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 or 2007; Collaboration Data Objects (CDO); Important: CDO must be installed.  It is a sub component of the MS Outlook install   Client: Microsoft Outlook version 2003 (SP2) or version 2007; Notes: RSOE has the same browser requirements as those listed for the Resource Scheduler client; RSOE no longer supports Microsoft Exchange 5.5
