What is RSOE?

RSOE Outlook conference room scheduling module is an alternative, Outlook-based interface to the popular Resource Scheduler application. Instead of accessing search and reservation screens with the Resource Scheduler browser interface, users instead find and book rooms, equipment, and services within their familiar Outlook Calendar. When reservation are made through RSOE, resource reservation details are immediately passed to the RS database while the user-based scheduling and notifications are managed by Exchange, allowing both products to excel at what each does best.

Previously, enterprise organizations that decided to deploy Exchange were able to provide two options for resource management: the built-in Outlook functionality (too little) and the native RS user interface (too much).
