Event Calendar Software from PeopleCube

What good is an event if no one shows up?

Coordinating an event can be challenging enough but getting people to them can sometimes be just as hard. But rather than posting flyers around campus or sending out mass emails to promote an event, many organizations are turning to on-line event calendars that not only reach a broader audience, but can help an event planner determine the best time to host an event.

Athletics

A college or university might have over 100 different athletic teams with each having its own schedule. For an athletic department, how do you get the word out about each team’s schedule?

WebEvent is the ideal event calendaring solution because it allows these athletic directors to post each schedule on the WebEvent on-line calendar. Students, faculty and staff can then access these calendars from almost anywhere to find out who is playing and where. And if there’s an event they are particularly interested in, they can even import the event information onto their own electronic calendar.

Alumni Events

Many educational institutions hold on-campus and off-campus alumni events as a way to keep their alums connected to the school. But sending out endless numbers of direct mail items or spamming them with emails about the various events taking place might have the opposite effect.

By using WebEvent, schools and universities can promote these alumni events and other events taking place quickly and easily. Alums are then able to easily access the WebEvent alumni calendar, athletic calendar, or the performing arts calendar to find out what events are taking place on campus or in their region.

Corporate Training

Many companies conduct internal or external training sessions but these sessions are only as valuable as the people who attend them, and getting people there can be the hardest part.

Many companies are leveraging WebEvent on their portal or website to promote these sessions. Potential attendees can simply view the training calendar, click on a session to learn more, and if they are interested, they can then add the event directly onto their personal calendar. There can even be links added to the training session listing if it requires registration.
